Life

Like a roller coaster going up and down

Challenges are always around

There are happy times and sad times

Nothing is guaranteed

Connections are all around me

It's those moments when somebody knows me deeply that matter the most

Love comes and goes

Always live for yourself

Don't be afraid to take risks

It's about the experience and the journey

The outcome is the end result

Live with passion and authenticity

At the end of the day you are the only one that knows who you really are

Only you know what you truly want and desire

Love yourself and others and love will return one way or another

Don't forget to laugh and smile

Give somebody a hug

Never be afraid to be who you are

When one door closes another door opens

There are no wrong choices only decisions to be made

The joy of humor and laughter

I watched improve theatre sports today and was rewarded with humor, laughter, and entertainment. Six wonderful people stood right before me expressing their creativity to those lucky enough to watch. All my worries and stress melted away as I was overcome with laughter. Life need not be to stressful. Work is only one aspect of life

The gift of empathy

I was literally going to explode yesterday but I was saved by empathy. I was so frustrated with life and so angry that anything and everything was pushing my buttons. I didn't need a hug,a kiss, money, or advice. I needed someone to care and understand what I was going through. My distress when from a ten to a one in less than 15 minutes. I am so grateful that there are empathetic people, trained counsellors, and trained crisis intervention volunteers out there to help people when they are having a crisis. It's the gift of being heard, understood, unjudged with compassion. Having a compassionate human that can really put themselves in your shoes at the end of the day is priceless. To me that is true love from another human.

Get out of your head and start living

I had a great weekend exercizing, socializing, and having fun. Time off from work was exactly what I needed. Part of being happy including physical exercise, eating healthy, socializing, and having fun.

There is a time for everything. Make sure you schedule an appointment with yourself to exercise and socialize. Life is not always about working. You deserve a break today.

Working with People

Working with people can be the most rewarding and the most difficult experience sometimes. I have been working in the customer service industry for 13 years. I love engaging and interacting with people on a daily bases. Ever person is unique and has different needs. Working with people makes it interesting as it can become routine and mandane sometimes. Building relationships and connections with customers is my strength.

Personally I like to help, support people, and add to their happiness. If I am contributing to society in this way I feel that I and giving to humanity and being fulfilled as a person at the same time.

When work is just work

From my own personal experience I find it hard to separate work and personal life a lot of the times. I spend most of my time working, eating, and sleeping. If I am motivated and have spare time I exercise, socialize and do things that I enjoy such as singing, writing, spending time with children, watching movies etc.

As humans we are all trying to get our needs met. I myself must remember that work is a place to make money and nothing else. Work is not a place to make friends, socialize, find a boyfriend, have fun, and get my unmet childhood needs met. All these other needs I need to get met in order to live a happy and well balanced life must be met outside of work which means time management on my part. I am still learning to create healthy boundaries with myself and others to keep me safe. Havimg healthy boundaries also makes life easier, more peaceful, and helps to build healthy relationships at the of the day.

There all types of boundaries including emotional, social, mental, physical, and
psychological boundaries. It is my responsibility to create and maintain my own boundaries and respect others peoples boundaries at the same time.

There is always learning in life for me whether it is a positive or negative experience. A positive attitude, resilience, and perseverance makes facing life easier. Fun, laughter, and love are just as important as making money and being responsibly. It's always about balance at the end of the day. I have also learned that I am only responsible for my own happiness and health. I must always take care of myself and help myself first before others. Neglecting myself would be a step backwards and will not help me achieve my life long dream of getting married and starting a family.

Emotional Boundaries

When other people project their emotions on to you it is never personal. It's hard to let it go and forgive others when it feels like they are literally dumping their crap onto you. Holding onto that anger is more poisonous than letting it go and forgiving the other person.

As humans we experience all sorts of emotions all the time. We can feel happy, sad, scared, angry, anxious etc. the list goes on. A lot of the times all of us just need a bit a love. A hug, some kind words, a smile or even a kiss goes a long way. We all need some emotional support sometimes. It can be hard to be self reliant, imdependent, and "perfect" all the time. Love, acceptance, patience, forgiveness, a good laugh, healthy boundaries, and understanding are all keys to all healthy relationships.
